FAQ

What is a pressure washer and how does it work?

A pressure washer is a powerful cleaning tool that uses high-pressure water to remove dirt, grime, and other debris from various surfaces. It works by using a pump to increase the pressure of the water, which is then dispensed through a spray gun and nozzle.

What are the different types of pressure washers?

There are two main types of pressure washers: electric and gas-powered. Electric pressure washers are lightweight and easy to maneuver, making them ideal for small to large-sized cleaning tasks. Gas-powered pressure washers are more powerful and can handle tougher cleaning tasks, making them ideal for x-large-scale cleaning jobs.

Q: What are the benefits of using a pressure washer?

The main benefits of using a pressure washer include:

  • Eco-friendly: pressure washers use less water than traditional cleaning methods, making them a more environmentally friendly option.
  • Cost-effective: in the long run, using a pressure washer can save money as it reduces the need for costly cleaning products.
  • Efficient cleaning: pressure washers can clean large areas quickly and effectively, saving time and effort compared to traditional cleaning methods.
  • Versatility: pressure washers can be used on a variety of surfaces, including concrete, wood, brick, and siding.
What are some of the things I can clean with a pressure washer

A pressure washer can be used to clean a variety of surfaces and items, including:

  • Driveways, patios, and decks
  • Cars, trucks, and motorcycles
  • Lawn equipment and tools
  • Outdoor furniture and accessories
  • Siding and windows on homes and buildings
What should I consider when purchasing a pressure washer?

When purchasing a pressure washer, you should consider:

  • The type of cleaning tasks you will be performing
  • The size and type of surfaces you will be cleaning
  • Your budget and desired features
  • The water pressure and flow rate required for your cleaning tasks
  • The type of engine or motor and its power
  • The size and weight of the pressure washer for portability

How do I maintain my pressure washer?

To keep your pressure washer in good working condition, you should:

  • Store it in a dry place when not in use
  • Winterize it if you live in a climate with freezing temperatures
  • Change the oil regularly and check the engine for leaks
  • Clean and replace the filters as needed
  • Use high-quality detergents and cleaning solutions that are specifically designed for pressure washers.
Which Nozzle Do I Use?

Your machine comes with four colored spray tips: red, yellow, green, and white.

  • Red tip: Pinpoint spray, highest impact. Start spraying further away from the surface to avoid damage, then move closer in a controlled manner.
  • Yellow, Green, White tips: Suitable for most household cleaning (cars, driveways, patios, siding). Start further away and move closer gradually to prevent damage.

Tip: Always test a small area first to ensure the surface is safe.

What Detergent Do I Use in the Foam Cannon?
  • Use detergents formulated specifically for foam cannons, available at most hardware stores.
  • Do not use car wash soaps with wax pellets — these can permanently damage the foam screen inside the cannon.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Machine Won’t Start – No Power
  1. Verify the outlet has power.

    – Plug a phone charger or lamp into the same outlet to confirm it is working.

  2. Reset the GFCI plug (if equipped).

    – Press the TEST button, then press the RESET button firmly.

A click should be felt or heard, and the green light should turn on.

  3. Remove system pressure.

    – Turn the machine OFF and unplug it.

    – Disconnect all hoses from the machine.

    – Plug the machine back in and try turning it ON.

  4. If the machine still does not power on, contact customer service to open a support ticket.
Water Leaking Under Machine
  1. If water is leaking from underneath the machine, this usually indicates a cracked or damaged pump.
  2. Contact customer service to open a support ticket.
Machine Starts and Stops While in Standby
  1. If the machine starts and stops while not spraying, there is likely a water leak.
  2. Check for visible leaks.

    – Inspect all hose connections and the area underneath the machine for leaking water.

  3. Check the spray tip.

    – Hold the spray gun with the nozzle pointed toward the ground.

If water drips from the colored spray tip without pulling the trigger, the spray gun valve is leaking.

  4. If no leaks are found and no water is dripping from the spray tip, contact customer service to open a support ticket. If there is a leak coming from the spray tip, please contact customer service for a replacement spray gun.
Machine Starts and Stops While Pulling the Spray Gun Trigger
  1. This is usually caused by a partially blocked spray tip nozzle.
  2. Remove the spray tip from the lance and install a different colored spray tip.
  3. If the problem does not occur with the second spray tip:

The original spray tip is blocked and needs to be cleaned.

  4. Clean the blocked spray tip.

    – Use the spray tip cleaner provided with your machine.

    – Do not clean the spray tip while it is attached to the lance.

  5. Check that the spray tip is clear.

    – Hold the spray tip up to the light. You should be able to see light clearly through the opening.

Machine Trips Main Panel Circuit Breaker
  1. Remove pressure from the machine.

Turn the machine OFF and unplug it. Disconnect all hoses to ensure there is no water or pressure inside.

  2. Try a different outlet on a different circuit.

    – Make sure no other appliances are plugged into the same circuit.

The machine must be the only device on that circuit as it requires the full 15 amps circuit to operate.

  3. If the circuit breaker continues to trip, contact customer service to open a support ticket.
Machine Trips GFCI
  1. Do not plug a GFCI power cord into a GFCI outlet.
If your machine has a GFCI plug, plug it into a standard (non-GFCI) wall outlet or else they will conflict and cause a false ground fault.
  2. If the machine has gotten very wet, allow it to dry.
    – Turn the machine OFF and unplug it.
    – Let it dry completely for 24 hours before using it again.
  3. After 24 hours, try operating the machine again.
  4. If the GFCI continues to trip, contact customer service to open a support ticket.
Water Leaking at Inlet
  1. Check the water inlet connection on the machine. Ensure the inlet filter is installed and not damaged.
  2. If the filter is missing or damaged, contact customer service for a replacement.
Water Leaking at Pressure Hose Connections
  1. Check the pressure hose connections on the machine and spray gun. All connections should be free of dirt or corrosion.
  2. Where the leak occurs, replace the O-ring using the replacement O-ring kit provided with your machine.
Machine Continuously Runs While in Standby
  1. Check for leaks.
Inspect all hose connections, the spray gun, and underneath the machine for water leaks.
  2. If a leak is found:
  • Tighten any loose hose connections.
  • Check the spray tip for drips while the gun is idle.
  • If a hose or spray tip is damaged, replace it using the provided parts or contact customer service for replacements.
  1. If no leaks are found, or the machine continues to run despite fixing leaks:
Contact customer service to open a support ticket.
Water Keeps Running When Trigger is Not Pulled
  1. This is usually caused by debris in the ball and seat of the trigger valve inside the spray gun.
  2. Contact customer service to request a replacement under warranty or to purchase a new spray gun.
No Water Comes Out When Trigger is Pulled
  1. Check the spray tip.
    – Remove the spray tip from the lance and pull the trigger.
  2. If water flows from the lance:
    – Clean the spray tip using the spray tip cleaner provided in your manual.
  3. If no water flows from the lance:
    – Disconnect the pressure hose from the machine and turn on the water.
  • If water flows from the machine, the blockage is in the spray gun trigger valve or pressure hose.
  1. If blockage persists or if water does not flow from the machine:
Contact customer service to request a replacement under warranty or purchase a new part.
Foam Cannon Does Not Produce Foam
  1. Use proper soap.
    – Verify your soap is a foaming detergent designed for foam cannons.
  2. Check the foam cannon tube.
    – Make sure it is attached, undamaged, and free of obstructions.
  3. Do not use car wash soap with wax pellets.
    – This can permanently damage the foaming screen.
  4. Replacement or warranty issues:
    – Contact customer service for a replacement or to purchase a new foam cannon.
Low or Weak Pressure
  1. Check water supply.
    – Ensure the garden hose is fully turned on, not kinked, and connected properly.
  2. Check spray tip and nozzle.
    – Remove and clean the spray tip if clogged. Try a different colored tip to see if pressure improves.
  3. Check for leaks.
    – Inspect all hose connections, spray gun, and under the machine. Leaks reduce pressure.

-If the machine turns off when the spray gun trigger is released, the machine itself is producing the correct pressure.

  1. If problem persists, contact customer service to open a support ticket.
